Centre For Corruption Studies At Nigerian University Attract Social Media Trolling

It has
been established that a Nigerian University is indeed offering a degree
and other postgraduate certificates in corruption studies.

Images of a
student by a signage who enrolled onto one of the programmes at the
University of Abuja is receiving a lot of trolling on social media.
Many are of the view that the image is fake and as such doubt  if a course or centre in that respect  does exist.
But checks by mynewsgh.com from
the University of Abuja confirm that indeed there is a centre for
corruption studies where degree and other postgraduate certificates are
awarded.
Director
of the Centre for Corruption Studies in the University of Abuja,
Professor Emmanuel Danladi said the courses are kinds of innovations
that are obtainable in developed countries and that the first batch of
students was enrolled on August 2016.
According
to Danladi, the Centre for Corruption Studies which has 10 pioneer

He told
the students that “We will train you to help the Nigeria society to
protect the nation’s integrity. So you will be able to use those
technics of locating and resolving conditions that lead to corruption.”
Danladi
said the Centre would help students to understand the meaning of
corruption, adding that “Corruption doesn’t just mean exchanging of
hands, monetarily or otherwise.”
He noted
that “If I didn’t do what I’m supposed to do, I have corrupted the
system. If I’m supposed to do this and I didn’t do it the way I’m
supposed to do it, it is corruption.”
He said
corruption is the product of the environment, stressing that the
environment is very important in determining who becomes corrupt and
does not.
