The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) New Artiste
of the Year, Fancy Gadam, has denied using ‘juju’ (voodoo) in his career
to attract fans to his shows.
He said the massive support base he has across the country is due to years of hard work in his days as an underground artiste.

He dispelled the rumour of using juju to back his music career in an interview with the Graphic Showbiz newspaper.
“I have actually heard people say I use Juju in
building my large fan base but there is no such thing but hard work and
blessings from God,” he said.
“I believe in God who gave me the talent and I thank Him for giving me the talent to capture the Northern Region with my music.”
Fancy Gadam is reported as the first northern-based artiste to enjoy massive following in the southern sector.
He reportedly filled the national theatre to capacity in his first show in the capital, Accra, with his Gadam Nation Concert.
He was also the toast of fans at the recently held Zongofest as the national theatre.

Region of Ghana,” he said.
He currently has a new single with Sarkodie, titled “Total cheat.”
He has in
an interview with Pulse.com.gh said he charges between GHC 30,000 and 50,000 per show.
“My management charges between 30k to 50k cedis per show. They take nothing less than 30k cedis,” Fancy Gadam said.
