As a promoter and music pundit, I’ve always dot down some critical points that communicates to the success or failure of upcoming and mainstream artist over the past years. Without hesitation, I must say, making it out to the mainstream of this flooded music industry first of all depends on the charisma of you. Just like one unique blood flow, one could tell how Ghanaians hates pride and arrogance from people who needs their help and support.
Over the past, we’ve seen how musicians rise and fall within the twinkle of an eye.. some underground artist (very good) but still struggling to blow because of pride and attitude that is very disheartening.
Kwesi Arthur, whom we all know to be the first newborn artist to get nominated by BET has written his name boldly in the hearts of many music lovers as a humble and pride-less guy. He lives his life very normal as if he’s no star, he interacts and respond to DM’s of his fans.. He still roll and move with his old gees despite the fame and hits.. in fact, he has so far lived the life that touches the hearts of many Ghanaians and stakeholders. The “Woara” hit maker did not much depend on Radio stations and Tv stations to sail through… the love from the street got him this far (i stand to be corrected). As a blogger, I get offers from underground artist concerning help and promos but trust me, I only support those who are humble and charge the arrogant ones a fee… HUMILITY IS KEY
As an underground artist, one thing you must keep in mind is that, you’re a nobody without your fans… learn the best way to communicate and interact with you fans.. let humility be key… Never for once forget where you started even after making some fame and bucks. Even the bible has preached on how Humility will lead us to places of greater heights.
WITHOUT TALKING MUCH, I HOPE THIS LITTLE PIECE OF ADVICE STICKS INTO YOUR HEADS AS YOUR CONTUNUE THE ADVENTURE OF MAKING HITS AND BUCKS…
